Guerrilla Gardening

Guerrilla Gardening

Guerrilla Gardening is the act of gardening on land that the gardeners do not have the legal rights to cultivate, such as abandoned sites, areas that are not being cared for, or private property. Through ongoing conversations with the founder of the movement, Richard Reynolds, it became clear that the importance of Guerrilla Gardening within London was the provision of green space. Soil samples were taken from guerrilla gardens around London and used within the printing process. Each print details a reaction between a sample of soil and photographic film and highlights the unique identity of each garden.
